Our Lobotomy project was named after the “empty head” phenotype; the pigment on the gecko’s head seems to be dissolved to reveal the dark base color.

Our original Lobotomy animals came out of a lilly white male and our female TooRaLoo. Neither animal expressed the trait that was present on all of the offspring. TooRaLoo was paired to another animal the following season with the same “empty head” result.

The goal of this project is high contrast animals with dark bases, minimalistic orange pattern, and of course, a mostly empty head.

The animals below are the foundation of our Lobotomy Project. We highlight them below to give credit to the breeders that helped start our projects!
